Hello! I’m Desiree!

I’m a user experience researcher and accessibility expert. We build better designs when we center empathy, education, and empowerment.

Accessibility charmed me early in my career (2011) because it was a way to indulge my love of technology while meeting my desire to help others and improve the world around me. I even got my CPACC certification from the IAAP in 2019!

As I got more involved with product development, I began to love design thinking and refining UX. That led to my masters degree from Rutgers concentrated in user experience design (2024). I love the empathy required to do UX well and I’m particularly interested in reaserch, information architecture, and interaction design.

When I’m not working, the odds are very good that I’m grooving to a record (indie and punk are my favorites), devouring a book, playing a cozy video game, or adventuring outside. I’m also your soon-to-be bestie for trivia and a connoisseur of dad (a.k.a. rad) jokes.

Let’s work together!

I’m always interested in hearing about new opportunities, collaborating on creating content, guest appearances, and public speaking. If you think we could work well together, please reach out via LinkedIn or BlueSky.
